Food trucks are popular and may be found at various UVA events and locations. Certain types of food trucks require fire code inspections before being allowed to operate on Grounds.
All food trucks operating at the University must:
Be contracted with and/or have permission from the University of Virginia Dining (Aramark).
Have an up–to–date inspection from either the State Fire Marshal's Office or the Local Authority having jurisdiction.
IN ADDITION:
Per the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code, all mobile food preparation vehicles that are equipped with appliances that utilize open flames (i.e. use propane or natural gas to prepare food) or produce smoke or grease laden vapors must be inspected annually by either the Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office or the Local Authority having jurisdiction.
Below is a list of food truck vendors currently eligible to operate at the University.
